Porcelain Veneers Perfecting Southlake Smiles
Your Complete Smile Makeover
Porcelain veneers are a conservative long lasting and effective way to change the color, size, shape and length of your teeth. Veneers can close spaces between anterior teeth. They can also be used to “straighten” mildly rotated teeth, which is why they are sometimes called “instant orthodontics.”
Porcelain veneers are extremely thin coverings that are attached to the teeth in order to improve their appearance. When you come in to get them, Dr. J. Lee Pettigrew will start by asking about what kind of look you hope to achieve. Once you both agree on the final outcome, he will begin by removing a tiny portion of your front teeth’s enamel. This will create enough room for the veneers to fit. Then, he’ll take an impression and send it to a lab to fabricate your veneers. While they are being made, he’ll fit you for temporary ones so that you can “test drive” your smile.
When you return, he’ll bond your final veneers to your teeth using a material that has been specially colored to match your new smile. After making any final adjustments, you’re done! We can’t wait to see the look on your face when you see your new smile in the mirror.
