Get Your Smile Back
As they say, “Life happens,” and unfortunately, sometimes it tends to happen to your teeth. It’s very common for teeth to become chipped, cracked, broken, or decayed, and what starts as a minor annoyance can soon turn into a serious dental problem.
If you have teeth that need a little help, then you’ve come to the right place! Dr. J. Lee Pettigrew is a restorative specialist who can repair your teeth no matter what state they are in now. After seeing him, your smile will be even stronger and healthier than it was before. To learn about how he can help you, simply read on below.
Traditional Crowns & Bridges
Do you have a tooth that is decayed, weakened, or severely damaged? If so, we can fix it right up using a dental crown. It is a tooth-shaped restoration that simply slips over the top of a damaged tooth in order to replace its lost structure and improve its appearance. It only takes two easy appointments to get one, and Dr. Pettigrew will make sure that it blends in seamlessly with the rest of your smile.
However, if you are missing a tooth (or even a row of teeth), he can use something called a dental bridge to replace them. For this, Dr. Pettigrew will place crowns on either side of the gap in your smile, and these will be bonded to prosthetic teeth that literally “bridge” the space between them. It’s just that simple, and you can get one in as little as two visits.
With the proper oral hygiene at home and regular checkups with Dr. Pettigrew, both of these restorations can look fantastic and last for decades to come.
Tooth-Colored Fillings
Fillings have been used for generations because they are a simple and effective way to fix small cavities and slightly damaged teeth. The only drawback is that the material used in traditional fillings, amalgam, always leaves a large, gray mark on the repaired tooth. Thankfully, dentistry has progressed, giving us something called tooth-colored fillings. Now, you can finally fix your smile without altering your appearance.
Tooth-colored fillings are actually made of a material called composite resin. As the name suggests, it can be specially shaded to perfectly blend with the color of your teeth so that they are practically invisible. We can even use them to replace your old metal fillings, so if you’re ready to get rid of those gray lines, be sure to contact our office!
Dentures & Partial Dentures
When it comes to replacing multiple missing teeth, dentures have proven themselves to be one of the best solutions for decades. Even better, modern day dentures are now smaller, sleeker, and more natural-looking than ever.
If you have teeth missing throughout your mouth, a set of partial dentures can seamlessly fill in the gaps. However, if you need an entire row of teeth replaced, we can make you a perfect-fitting set of full dentures.
If you’re currently walking around with a compromised smile, STOP! You don’t have to deal with it anymore! We can give your smile back everything it’s lost and more, and you’ll be so happy that you came to see us. If you’re ready to get your smile back, please contact our office today for an appointment.
